Mammoth Used Book Sale Results

MUBS2010The 15th annual Mammoth Used Book Sale was held on April 17th and 18th and the results were gigantic. Almost $14,000 was raised for the Friends of the Ottawa Public Library Association to support enhancements to Ottawa Public Library services.

FOPLA thanks all the book lovers and library supporters who came out to the sale and purchased books.

FOPLA also thanks the many dedicated volunteers who collected and sorted books throughout the year as well as those who organized and ran the sale itself – the funds raised through your hard work will mean great things for our community and the Ottawa Public Library.

A special thanks to Barrhaven Moving & Storage Ltd. as well, who moved all of the books for the sale to the Nepean Sportsplex at a reduced rate.

More information about the 2010 Mammoth Used Book Sale will be available in our June newsletter.

Winners of Awesome Authors Youth Writing Contest Announced
